Fitzgerald Gray Hagan Architects is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Architect / Project Manager to support the planning, design, and execution of large, complex architectural projects. This position plays a key role in technical design leadership, applying advanced architectural concepts while collaborating closely with project teams and clients. The ideal candidate demonstrates independent judgment, technical excellence, and a commitment to design solutions that respond thoughtfully to client needs.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- Minimum of six (6) years of professional architectural experience
- Licensure as a Registered Architect preferred
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and technical detailing
- Proven experience working on large, complex projects
- Ability to independently apply advanced architectural principles and design solutions
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage specific technical design aspects of major architectural projects
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions that best meet client requirements
- Provide professional architectural consultation throughout planning, design, and coordination phases
- Independently execute complex or novel assignments, including development of new or improved design techniques and procedures
- Coordinate architectural work with consultants and internal project teams
- Ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff as needed
