David Bond

AIA, NCARB, NOMA

David Bond has led high-profile projects for renowned developers around the globe.

At Fitzgerald Gray Hagan Architects, he guides clients through complex projects with strong leadership and diligence and is committed to making thoughtful design decisions that maintain order or have meaning.

David’s passion for humanizing the built environment has led to innovative and award-winning design solutions, ranging from building form to lighting design to cladding systems. David believes every answer to design exists in nature, so he finds inspiration everywhere.

David’s talent and design philosophy can be seen in the Sons of Atlanta Vietnam War Memorial in Atlanta, Georgia. Designed to honor more than 240 fallen Vietnam veterans from metro Atlanta, the memorial uses symbolic architectural forms and materiality to create a place of remembrance, reflection, and community healing. The central stainless-steel sculpture honors the five coequal branches of the military and forms a canopy of protection over a glowing granite base. The project has received widespread recognition for its emotional impact, civic presence, and meaningful integration of symbolism into the built environment.

Projects David has contributed to have received numerous awards such as, CMAA 2020 Private Building New Construction Greater than $100M award, Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2020 Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards, an AIA Georgia Gold Medal, and a 2025 Excellence in preservation award.

David earned his degrees from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and the Academy of Art in San Francisco.
